Just a brief update since my update last week...
Kate was quite ill with her stomach troubles, but we appear to be over the hump now. After two weeks of vomiting, pain, and diahrrea, we found a grapefruit-sized mass of stool in her lower intestines. An enema was able to clear it up, and she's doing much better. She had GI series done which verified that she doesn't have any kind of structural block in her digestive system, so that's good news. For now she's on medication to help her bowels go back to normal, and we'll have to monitor her closely since we don't know what caused the problem in the first place and we definitely don't want a recurrence.
Of course, the very next day she somehow got a paper cut on the white of her eye! After a couple of emergency trips to the opthalmologist she's doing fine. She's not allowed any more injuries or illnesses for a long, long time!
We have a very busy summer planned. Here's what it looks like:
